SALT LAKE CITY — Utah’s “World Famous” Yum Yum Food Truck started cooking again Saturday, thanks to a little help from Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson and a lot of support from the community.

“All the other food trucks might be jealous because the longest line here is for Yum Yum,” said Layton City Councilman Clint Morris.

Kali and Kris Kelnero sat with Strom Peterson at a table outside the Vinbero wine bar in the former Cheesemonger’s Table space in downtown Edmonds. I noticed a sign that gave me hope they’d soon be open. I circled back and was able to speak with Kali on the forward momentum of this new venture.

The Kelneros, owner of craft cocktail bar Kelnero, took over the Cheesemonger’s Table space from Peterson and wife Maria Montalvo, and have been working to transform it into Vinbero.

LAYTON — A Layton food truck will receive a new look, just days after it was vandalized with anti-Asian, racist messages.

The owners of the Yum Yum Food Truck, Brevin Pierce and his father Ben, shared images on Facebook of what the vehicle will look like after it is “wrapped” at Identity Graphx.

On Wednesday evening, the vintage, black food truck sat parked in a garage at Gorilla Shine in Layton. Maria Rivera, owner of the detail shop at Gorilla Shine, did a final walk-through with Brevin to show him everything they deep cleaned that day.

Utah Jazz player Jordan Clarkson made an incredible assist after a Filipino food truck was vandalized with anti-Asian graffiti. The guard partnered with vehicle wrap shop Identity Graphx to get The World Famous Yum Yum food truck back on the road, reports CBS affiliate KUTV-TV.

The owners of the Layton, Utah, food truck shared images of the graffiti, which included offensive images and expletives, on social media on Sunday. World Famous Yum Yum received an outpouring of the support from the community, including Clarkson.

Clarkson, who is Filipino-American, took to Twitter to condemn the vandalism.

Lee County told the owners of a food truck on Pine Island they needed to close down, and community members are unhappy about it.

People lined up Wednesday to get one last taste of authentic Mexican food at El Viejon Taco food truck on Pine Island.

The owners of El Viejon Taco told us zoning for Pine Island Road does not permit food trucks.

With tears in her eyes, co-owner Cahroy Garcia said all she wants is to continue serving her community and doesn’t understand why she was allowed to operate the last four months.
