Laurie Tietjen has been named because the director of finance for town of St. Joseph.
Tietjen, a local of Missouri, graduated from the College of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science diploma in schooling. She is a graduate in info science from the College of Missouri, an undergraduate in enterprise from Columbia Faculty, an undergraduate in accountancy from Lincoln College and a licensed public accountant.
Tietjen’s most up-to-date place was controller/inner management with the Faculty of the Ozarks, a place she has held since 2013.
St. Joseph Metropolis Supervisor Bryan Carter stated he was impressed with Tietjen’s monetary expertise in accounting, budgeting and audits.
“Laurie has the information and various monetary background to successfully lead the finance division,” Carter stated. “I look ahead to Laurie becoming a member of the group and dealing with workers to make sure transparency, distinctive monetary accountability and continued efforts to extend technological effectivity.”
Tietjen will likely be relocating to Northwest Missouri along with her husband, who works as a swine veterinarian specialist.
Tietjen’s first day with town will likely be Jan. 3, and her wage will likely be $127,000.
