Openings & Announcements

Executive chef Jack Moore of Watershed Kitchen & Bar (1145 Chesapeake Ave.) is in the process of reopening the distillery restaurant, which has remained closed for more than a year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In an interview last week, Moore said he plans to reopen the Grandview area restaurant and bar in June, before the first day of summer. In the wake of the restaurant shutdown in March 2020, Moore turned the Watershed kitchen into a commissary for feeding laid off staff members. He kept the kitchen open for several weeks until the food ran out. During his time away, Moore launched his own brand of hot sauce: Black Cap Hot Sauce. You can find Black Cap at Watershed’s bottle shop, Coastal Local Seafood in the North Market and at The Bottle Shop.
