The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has announced a recall of nearly 300,000 pounds of ready-to-eat corned beef products. The FSIS received a tip from an industry representative that the products did not undergo the necessary import re-inspection needed.
MW Polar of Norwalk, CA, is recalling about 297,715 pounds of corned beef products as a result. These corned beef products were imported and distributed across the country on various dates between June 6, 2020, to Jan. 21, 2021, the announcement states.
