Now fans can watch Giada as she learns firsthand from a Japanese chef how to make Chirashi Sushi—a bowl of mixed ingredients that top a base of sushi rice.

If you’re someone who follows a recipe to a T, there’s a good chance you aren’t exactly a rule breaker. It makes sense—especially if you don’t quite feel like Ina Garten in the kitchen. Veer from a recipe and you risk ruining your entire dish. But as a recent viral Reddit thread is proving, there are times when cooking foods “wrong” ends up being so, so right.

This brings new meaning to putting lobsters in the “pot.”

US researchers redefined “lobster pot” after testing whether dosing the crustaceans with marijuana smoke could ease their pain as they’re being cooked.

ARCHBALD, Pa. — Surveillance video taken back in March shows one of the owners of Bud’s Bar & Grill in Archbald confronting a thief who emptied the restaurant’s vat of used cooking oil and took off.

“I guess the guy must have had a hose hooked up to his truck, and it was siphoning oil out of our dumpster,” said co-owner Kathy Poronsky.

A lot of restaurants, such as Bud’s, sell that leftover cooking oil to biodiesel companies.

His rock star career started with very unglamorous beginnings: child labor in his mom’s kitchen. But peeling shrimp and veggies as a tot sparked something special and tasty for chef Kwame Onwuachi, who is my guest this week on “Renaissance Man.”

“My mom, she was an accountant, and she switched careers and started a catering company out of the house,” he told me. “And very much against the law, she put me and my sister to work. I was 5 years old. My sister was about 10, and she threw us an apron. And then we had to do whatever
