Big Boy is returning to Wisconsin after a 26-year absence.

Wisconsin Big Boy is scheduled to open July 14 at Germantown’s Jerry’s Old Town Inn, N116-W15841 Main St., owner Chaz Hastings said.  

Hastings said he and his business partner, Scott Carleton, signed a franchise deal June 3 giving them franchise rights for Wisconsin.

Jerry’s Old Town Inn closed about three weeks ago. Hastings said he and Carleton owned the restaurant for 10 years.

Hunkered down during the pandemic, Californians have been drinking a lot of beverages. Recent reports show sales of beverages in single-use containers up 8% in 2020.

That’s a lot of bottles and cans. Given the major reduction in greenhouse gas emissions resulting from processing discarded aluminum, plastic and glass containers into new materials, the need to recycle them has never been greater.

California’s 35-year-old beverage container recycling law, known as the Bottle Bill, must be updated.

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ) – Blacksburg Police continue to investigate reports of drink-spiking at the Centro Taco Bar.

Police say over the last several months, they have received complaints and social media reports from people believing “a substance used to cause cognitive impairment had been added to their drinks” at the restaurant.

A search warrant executed May 18 indicates at least one woman submitted a blood and urine sample as part of the investigation.

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KRON) – Sunshine Mills Inc. is recalling dog food products due to potential salmonella contamination.

The voluntary recall comes after a sample 5 pounds of Sprout Sporting dog food product tested positive for salmonella during routine surveillance, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
